Our mission
An automated, software-supported, vertical indoor planting system that enables fresh food to be harvested all year round.

Getting started

With VE.PLANT, you can grow your own fresh vegetables even without "green fingers". Automated according to IoT standards, your plants are supplied almost completely autonomously.

After the initial set-up, all you need to do is refill the water supply and fertiliser. Coordinated watering and lighting rhythms ensure efficient growth. VE.PLANT offers space for 6 - 24 plants and the 80 litre water reservoir ensures operation for up to 3 months without refilling. This period may vary depending on the size and number of plants contained.

We use hydroponics as our growing method. This method is based on supplying the plants with a nutrient-enriched water solution without the use of soil.

Planting without earth
The use of hydroponics as a growing method eliminates the need for earth. This keeps your hands clean and offers further advantages for plant growth. It also prevents pests and weeds.
Management by app
The VE.PLANT app gives you an overview of your system at all times. In the app, you select the plants that you have sown in your VE.PLANT. The app ensures that your system is optimised. It adjusts the watering and light times and reminds you when your plants are ready to harvest. You can also chat with other VE.PLANT users about what they are growing.
Plant layers
Customize the size of your VE.PLANT as you wish. Your VE.PLANT can be extended to up to 4 levels. Each plant level has 6 spaces for the plants of your choice! This ensures that you fully use the height of your storage space and do not need any additional area.
Water tank
The VE.PLANT water reservoir offers space for up to 80 litres of nutrient solution. This contains water and nutrients that are required for plant growth. This is the only point at which you have to do it by yourself, because the water and nutrients need to be refilled. However, the VE.PLANT app also helps you with this.
Lighting
Plants need light to grow! That's why we at VE.PLANT use special grow lights for each level. It offers a full light spectrum that supports growth in the best possible way. The lighting time is set automatically by the system's automation.
Monitoring via sensors
In order to ensure the smooth use of VE.PLANT, sensors monitor the operation of the system and ensure a quick response should problems arise. Among other things, the sensors observe the ambient temperature, the water level or the tightness of the system and, if possible, automatically make appropriate adjustments.
Nutrients
To support growth in the best possible way and provide quick access to nutrients, we use special hydroponic nutrients (N-P-K). The nutrients are dissolved in the water and thus delivered directly to the roots of the plants.
Automation
With VE.PLANT, your plants grow almost independently so that you can concentrate fully on the important tasks of your everyday life. This is possible by automating the irrigation and lighting rhythm according to IoT standards. Intelligent algorithms adapt these to the parameters of the environment and the plants.

How much will VE.PLANT cost me to purchase?
The pricing depends on the market and is currently estimated by the components at up to EUR 2300 excl. VAT. The price is based on a configuration of 4 levels.
How much does VE.PLANT cost me during operation?
The cost of operating the device varies with the price per kWh charged by your electricity provider. The average power consumption is approx. 70 watts. This low consumption is achieved by the control software. In our calculation, with a configuration of 4 levels, which is sufficient for just under 4 - 6 people, the cost per person/week is around EUR 0.92. This already includes water consumption and nutrients. As electricity consumption is the biggest cost driver, even more savings can be made here by optimising the light supply. This means that significantly less artificial light is needed in bright locations or in summer.
How large is VE.PLANT?
The dimensions of the VE.PLANT base are 160cm x 57cm x 50cm (width x height x depth). The maximum height, with 4 levels, is 2.46 metres.
How many VE.PLANT's will I need?
A VE.PLANT with 4 fully planted levels, which is harvested 1 - 2 times a week, is sufficient for 4 - 6 people on average.
Can I use VE.PLANT as a room divider?
Of course, this is actually the preferred use. That's because the plants in the system make the room look much fresher and more appealing than grey walls. The only important thing here is that light-sensitive people should not be placed directly next to the plant system.
